Requirements
Image Requirements
- Resolution: 512×512 to 1024×1024 pixels (use template size for best results)
- File Size: Images must be no larger than 1 MB.
- File Name: Use alphanumeric characters, underscores, dashes, and spaces only (max 30 characters).
- File Format: Images must be in PNG format.
- File Count: Up to 10 images can be used at a time.
USB Drive
Format the USB drive as one of the following:
- exFAT
- FAT 32 (for Windows)
- MS-DOS FAT (for Mac)
- ext3
- ext4
- Note: NTFS is not currently supported

- 1Design Your Wrap
Use this tool to build your custom design. Pick a vehicle template, add images or text, adjust colors, then click Export PNG to save your artwork.
- 2Prepare a USB Drive
Format a USB flash drive as FAT32. Copy your exported PNG into the Wraps folder on the drive. Keep the file under 1 MB.
- 3Connect USB to Your Tesla
Insert the USB drive into the front centre-console port (not the glovebox). Your vehicle should recognise it within seconds.
- 4Open Paint Shop
On the touchscreen go to App Launcher → Toybox → Paint Shop, or via Controls → Software and tapping the paint-brush icon.
- 5Apply Your Design
Tap Custom, choose your file from the USB drive, and the 3D wrap preview updates in real time. Swipe around to check every angle before confirming.
- 6Save & Enjoy
Tap Apply to set the wrap on your vehicle avatar. Return and swap designs anytime — no limits, no extra cost.
Steps may vary by model and software version. Compatible with Tesla software v2024.x and later. Paint Shop requires the vehicle to be in Park.
